Ways to pay:
We know that you want a choice when it comes to paying your bill. That’s why we’ve got lots of great ways to pay for you to choose from.

Our most popular way is by monthly Direct Debit , where your estimated annual costs are spread over 12 months. So you pay a set amount each month and don’t face any unexpected costs. Not only does it help you budget but you’ll also save up to £80 per year off your energy bills. And if you go paperless, you’ll also get an extra £12 off your energy†.
If you want to pay your bill in full when you get it, why not make a payment online? All you need to do is register for an online account, or log in if you already have one, and you’re away. As well as being able to pay your bills, you can view your bills and give meter readings.
Below, we’ve got lots of other payment options to choose from. And if you ever find that you’re having trouble paying, please get in touch as soon as possible. We’ll work with you to find the best way for you to manage your bills.
Please note: If you have a Green Deal agreement in place, any prices or discounts quoted do not include your Green Deal payments.
Pay online:
Paying your bills online gives you the flexibility to pay anywhere and anytime you’ve got internet access. It’s quick, simple and you can use your debit or credit card.
To pay online, you’ll first need to take a few moments to register for an online account. Once you’ve registered, you’ll be able to access your account 24/7. Your online account also lets you give meter readings, view your bills and more.
If you’re already registered with eServices, just log in to pay your bill. Once you’re logged in, just click the ‘Pay now’ button for the service you wish to pay e.g. gas or electricity and follow the instructions on the screen.
Please note, if you pay by credit card you’ll be charged a handling fee for each credit card transaction you make.
Internet and Telephone banking:
You can easily make payments for your energy bills from most banks. Use their pay bills or money transfer services online or over the telephone.
All you need is your gas or electricity account number, which should be 10 digits long, and our bank details which are:
Account number 90210170
Sort code 57-17-57
You can also make a CHAPS payment with the account details below:
Account number 00800252
Sort code 60-17-21
To make it easy to pay online any-time of the day, some banks have a drop down option so you can choose who to pay. Take a look for us if your bank offers this option.
Pay as you go:
Pay As You Go meter:
If receiving a quarterly bill or statement is not right for you, you may be better using a Pay As You Go meter.
This is where you use a key or card to add credit to the meter itself. It allows you to budget and keep track of how much energy you’re using, as you’re using it. You can only use what you’ve paid for in advance, meaning no unexpected bills.
Credit for pay as you go meters can be bought from your local Post Office or Paypoint.
If you’d like to find out more about Pay As You Go meters, please contact us and one of our expert advisers will go through this option with you.
What do I get by paying with Direct Debit?:
Direct Debit is the cheapest way to pay
Pay with monthly Direct Debit and we’ll take up to £80 (£40 per fuel) off your energy costs**. And switch to paperless billing and you could save an extra £12† off your gas and electricity.
You can relax when your bill is due:
Now and then an unexpected bill arrives, with Direct Debit we’ll take the pain away. We’ll estimate how much energy you’re likely to use in the future (based on your information) and spread the cost of your gas and electricity over 12 months to arrive a your monthly Direct Debit amount. This should cover your annual costs over the year.
You’re in control:
You choose the payment date and you’re always protected by the Direct Debit guarantee.
We’ll keep an eye out for you:
Every year we review your payments so that they’re just right. We’ll look at your costs and what we think you’ll use in the future. Then we’ll let you know if your payments need to change (we’ll tell you on your bill or by letter before we do).
