Step by step guide to account registration:
1) If this is your first attempt, enter your old landdirect username and password as prompted.
2) You will be asked to enter a working email address (this will become your new landdirect username)

3) Enter and confirm a new password as requested and click “submit”
4) You should receive an email at the email address you just furnished which includes a validation link
5) Click on the validation link and you will be brought to a page that will confirm your new account details and will contain a link to the login page.
6) Return to the login page and login in using the email address furnished and the new password.
7) If successful, a map of Ireland will appear and you have successfully registered and logged in.

If you are having problems as follows:
1) You receive username, password or account unapproved errors, please try again ensuring that you use the email address you gave and the new password.
2) If your validation link doesn’t work or you get an “account is locked out” error, please email us at info@prai.ie
3) If you tried to register on Monday the 28th, please try to register again following the step by step guide above.

How to Open a landdirect.ie Account:
If you would like to open an account, please complete the Open an Account form and forward to:

On receipt of this form an account will be set up and the customer will be notified. All users listed on the form will receive an email containing information on logging in to the service.

Further Information on landdirect.ie accounts:
A landdirect.ie account allows online access to a range of the Property Registration Authority’s services, some of which are free and others that require payment of a fee.

There is no initial or annual fee payable to subscribe to the service nor is VAT charged. However, as the account operates on a credit basis only, a minimum pre-payment of €125 is required. There are a number of ways to credit the account thereafter, please see Top up your account.

There is no limit to the number of users on an account but each user must have a separate valid email address to access the service. Users may be added and removed at any stage by completing and submitting the appropriate form, please use the Amend your account details form. There are three levels of access that may be allocated to any user.

Basic Access is allocated to all users enabling them to view an Activity Log detailing their fee paying transactions and to reset their password at any time. View Balance will also allow the user to view the current balance on the account and receive a notification when the balance falls below €100. Administrator Status allows all of the above together with access to the Activity Log of all users on the account.

Note:
It is recommended that at least one user on the account has the Administrator role.

An additional role can be allocated only to Practising Solicitors acting under Rule 159(1) of the Land Registration Rules 2012 to apply for a copy instrument and have the fee deducted from their account. Please complete and submit the additional Form of Certification (for requesting a Copy Instrument) – Available to Practising Solicitors only and your application will be considered.

New Features:
** Full screen map interface as has been available on the non account holder service
** Seedpoints no longer display which allows for improved viewing of the map particularly in urban areas. To get property details, simply click anywhere in the parcel and details will display on screen.
** Address provided if geodirectory point located within the parcel.
** Most recent map and names search results saved during session to allow user to easily go to the map and return back to the results
** Search results and Activity log can be filtered using any criteria that displays on screen e.g a names index search can be filtered by property description or the registered owners address.
** Online account payments facilitated by a service offered by the LGMA which allows for secure payment through Realex, an independent third party payments provider. Simply go to Account Maintenance and Top Up Account, follow the instructions on screen and instantly top up your account.
