Replacement of Passport:

Description of Service:
This service is limited to Bahraini citizens only.

Required Terms of Service:
** You must attend in person or through your legal representative to implement the service.
** Signature approval of passport holder (from the age of 16 upwards).
** Kindly review with the head of department or his representative for any modifications in your passport.

Required Documents:
** Service request form.
** New front view color photograph size 4×6 with a white background (View the photo attachment guidelines).

Procedures:
** Go to Nationality, Passport & Residence Affairs, make sure to provide the required documents and follow the submission procedures.
** Fill out the application form and wait for your service number on the screen.
** Go to the concerned employee to submit the required documents and follow up number.
** Pay the fees and receive your receipt.
** A text message will be sent to your mobile phone when the passport is ready to collect.

Fees:
B.D. 10/- & B.D. 5/- for 60 year old and above.

Replacement of Passport Abroad:
Description of Service:
This service is limited to Bahraini citizens abroad only.

Required Terms of Service:
** You must attend in person or through your legal representative to implement the service at any consulate or embassy for Kingdom of Bahrain abroad. In case the unavailability of any diplomatic mission in the country where the citizens stays, kindly contact the nearest consulate as this requirement may be bypassed at specific instances. (MOFA website).
** In case of any modifications or changes in the passport kindly review with Head of the Mission or his representative.

Required Documents:
** Service request form.
** 2 Recent front view color photograph size 4×6 with a white background (View the photo attachment guidelines).
** Letter directed to His Excellency the Ambassador or Chief of Mission.

Procedures:
** Go to the nearest embassy or consulate, make sure to provide the required documents and follow the submission procedures.
** Fill out and sign the application form.
** Go to the concerned employee to submit the required documents and follow up number.
** Pay the fees.
** The request and all attached documents will be sent to Ministry of Foreign Affairs which will send the request to the Nationality, Passport & Residence Affairs to proceed.

Fees:
B.D. 10/- or its equivalent in the currency of the country of residence.

Issuance of travel permits :
Description of Service :
This service is limited to Bahraini citizens only at the following conditions :
** Children of citizens born outside the Kingdom.
** In case of the passport’s loss or theft outside the Kingdom.

Required Terms of Service :
** The father or his legal representative must be present to implement the service.
** Issuing a report about the theft or loss at the (state concerned) with ratification from the embassy of Bahrain.

Required Documents :
For foreign-born :
** Service request form.
** Recent front view color photograph size 4×6 with a white background (View the photo attachment guidelines).
** The original and a copy of birth certificate.
** Original & copies of the father and mother ID.
** The original marriage certificate and a copy of it.
** A copy of the father/mother death certificates in case any of the parents are deceased.

For loss or theft abroad :
** Service request form.
** Recent front view color photograph size 4×6 with a white background (new requirements).
** Original copy of the report issued from the nearest police station at the city of residence.

Procedures :
** Go to the nearest embassy or consulate to submit the request for issuing a travel permit, making sure to provide the required documents and follow the submission procedures.
** Fill out the application form and wait for your service number on the screen.
** Go to the concerned employee to submit the required documents and follow up number.
** Pay the fees and receive your receipt.
